Drawers are a great alternative to standard and hard to reach kitchen pantry cabinet shelving. Having drawer fronts stops your taller items from falling over when you pull them out (which is always a win). Another neat hack to organizing your drawers is to have them clear-fronted, so you can easily see everything that’s inside your kitchen pantry cabinet drawers, without having to open them.
For ingredients and food that is stored in bags, like rice and beans, store them in trays with tall sides. Get long and narrow trays, since they use cabinet depths with the most efficiency and slide in and out easily.
Corner cabinets have been rescued from dark, inconvenient obscurity by new takes on the traditional Lazy Susan such as corner drawers, rotating recycling bins, and rotating hanging racks for pots and pans.
